Module 11 - Podcast on Web 2.0 Tools to Enhance Learning - Our group broke down our topic and each member led the discussion for each section (Description, Pricing and Budget, Current Research, Standards, Management, Procedures/Problems/Solutions, and Staff and Student Training) pertaining to the overall topic of Web 2.0 Tools in Education. We created this podcast using Google Hangout on Air (audio only) then added titles, names, and emphasis labels within YouTube once the final On Air video was published.
Podcasting is a great way for teachers to provide students with additional information either through audio only lessons or through vodcasting, which also provides videos with the lesson. Podcasting and Vodcasting are very popular because it allows students to use any device to watch or interact with an audio/video lesson at their own pace. This is a great way to do a "Radio Talk Show" of news features, flipping the classroom lessons, news features without sending home a paper newsletter, or communicating needed information to parents, students, and other teachers.
