Technology Unit
My technology unit was on Comic Strips within the ELA Common Core. The second grade class I was working with learned about the elements of a comic strip, the difference between analog and digital comics, how story elements are used in comic strips, and how comic strips show a sequence of events.
Day 1: Comic Strip Pre-Assessment and Comic Strip Elements Research through Google Safe Search
Day 2: Create Comic Strips using the "Analog" Method and focusing on Story Elements and Sequencing
Day 3: Using the Analog Draft to create a Digital Comic Strip on "Make Beliefs Comix," Publish Comic Strips
Day 4: Skyping the Author / Cartoonist, Josh Alves
