Module 4 - Group 2 Presentations on Google Hangout (on Air): Our topic was Evaluation/Portfolio tools and applications that allow teachers to evaluate a student's understanding and display a student's work digitally. We used Mural.ly to organize our information and resources while presenting on Google Hangout (on Air). We shared our screen during our presentation so that the other group members could watch and listen to each tool while going through the Mural.ly presentation. While on air, our video saved to YouTube so that we could share our presentation with others.
This would be a great way for students to collaborate and communicate on projects and presentations or even do a live presentation from a distance. Teachers can link up with many educational leaders, authors, and resources through Plus and Hangout just like they would on Skype. This is a great "live" resource that allows true life interactions that will ultimately prepare our students for colledge and careers.
My portion of the presentation due to technical difficulties during the first presentation. I presented on the Assessment Tool called Socrative. Socrative is a wonderful assessment tool that allows you to create quizzes ahead of time or on the fly while using the assessment data to differentiate instruction.
